Your day begins with a convenient pick-up from your hotel in Kathmandu by our guide and driver in a private, air-conditioned vehicle. Relax and enjoy the scenic drive to Bhaktapur, a city steeped in history and renowned for its cultural and artistic heritage. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights about Nepal’s traditional art forms and the role of Bhaktapur in preserving these timeless crafts.

Upon your arrival in Bhaktapur, let the vibrancy of this UNESCO World Heritage Site grasp you. Approach a studio of a local artisan where this mask painting tour actually begins. Begin with the introduction of masks regarding their history and cultural importance in Nepalese festivals and rituals. Learn how masks are attached with traditional storytelling, spiritual practice, and the rich artistic traditions of the country.
