Itinerary

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a 45-minute scenic drive to Thankot, the starting point of the hike. Along the way, enjoy views of local villages and the rolling hills surrounding Kathmandu.

The hike begins with a gradual ascent through a dense forest filled with chirping birds, fresh mountain air, and occasional clearings that offer glimpses of the Kathmandu Valley below. The path is well-defined but has some steep sections, making it a moderate-level hike.

After about 2-3 hours of hiking, you’ll reach the summit of Chandragiri Hill, where you’ll be greeted with a jaw-dropping view of the Himalayas. The Ganesh Himal, Langtang, Manaslu, and even Annapurna ranges stand tall in the distance on a clear day.

Take time to explore the Bhaleshwar Mahadev Temple, an important Hindu pilgrimage site believed to grant wishes. Walk around the viewing platform, take photos, and soak in the peaceful ambiance of the high-altitude surroundings.

You can enjoy tea, coffee, or light snacks at a local restaurant near the temple while admiring the spectacular views.

For the descent, you can either hike back down the same route or take the scenic Chandragiri Cable Car (not included) for a relaxed and panoramic ride to the base.

After reaching the base station, your driver will take you back to Kathmandu, dropping you off at your hotel by the afternoon.
